Ubisoft has gone on record to say that the Wii U version of Assassin’s Creed 3 will be identical to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 iterations. It seems as though that’s most certainly turning out to be true, because according to a report on CVG, the company recently announced that the game would feature all DLC on Nintendo’s system.
Ubisoft currently has five DLC packs planned for Assassin’s Creed 3, three of which will encompass a brand new single-player campaign. This content will look at the American Revolution in a different light, allowing players to “experience an alternate history.” New missions for the single-player mode, as well as added characters and maps for multiplayer will also be included.
It’s great to see publishers and developers delivering content for the Wii U that’s on par with the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. If this trend continues throughout the console’s life cycle, Nintendo fans won’t have to worry about weak port jobs and inferior titles. Additionally, if devs are stoked to experiment with the GamePad, the console will likely offer unique experiences for gamers to enjoy.
