We were aware that demos could be coming to the Nintendo 3DS portable console, but we had no idea when. The Resident Evil: Revelations game coming to the 3DS should have a demo out later today according to certain sources, which will be available in the eShop for free. After checking this morning, there has not yet been a demo section added to the eShop in North America.

After Resident Evil: Revelations hits the demo section a demo for Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games will hit a week later. Nintendo also plans on releasing demos for Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3D and Rayman: Origins later on. Other features are on the way for the portable console such as paid DLC for games like Fire Emblem 3DS and Hulu Plus will also be available soon.
