Advanced sales for Square Enix Holdings Co.’s Final Fantasy XIII for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 3 leaped to the No. 1 rank at Japan retail following disclosure of a Dec. release date this week.
On Wed., the Final Fantasy XIII PS3 SKU ranked as the No. 1 best-selling product at Amazon Japan’s Video Games division.

Square Enix this week said that the latest installment of the premier RPG franchise will be released to the PS3 in Japan on Dec. 17.
