Throughout gaming history, there have been a lot of useless “premium” editions. We see it all the time; games offering enormous statues of their respective main protagonists. Whether it be a bust of Marcus Fenix from Gears of War or a scale model of a dragon from Skyrim, gamers have purchased these objects out of impulse or extreme fandom. Seriously, where are you even going to put that stuff?
If you are going to take up space of my desk, at least make it look cool.
Which leads me to some pretty unfortunate news, and I don’t think you’re prepared for how stupid the statue looks in the Hitman: Absolution Deluxe Professional Edition.
That’s right, it’s a 10″ model of Agent 47. Only he looks all cartoony and weird. In addition to the vinyl statue, buyers will receive a Hitman Art Book, a “Making Of DVD,” the Agency Gun Pack DLC, and access to the Hitman Sniper Challenge.
Sure, all that other stuff sounds great, but I just can’t get over how dumb that statue looks. I eagerly anticipate Agent 47′s arrival to my desk when Hitman: Absolution launches on November 20, 2012.
