Modern Warfare 2 has brought in $1 billion since its launch in November, according to Activision’s internal estimates, and, according to CEO Bobby Kotick, “has exceeded our expectations”. As reported last year, the game raked in more than half of that sum, $550 million, in its first five days alone.
Following nine weeks of chart topping, the game’s also been announced as 2009’s top-selling game in the UK. Read more
