Activision has been announcing tons of Call of Duty information lately and today it relates to the Modern Warfare family and its new addition Collection 2. Awkwardly enough this comes on the heels of Collection 1 being released for the PC version. Xbox 360 however, will be getting the content this month on May 22nd.
Sledgehammer games and Infinity Ward is including a new mode for the COD franchise entitled Face Off. This new mode will pit players consisting of 2v2 and 1v1 against each other in specially designed maps. Expect the game mode along with the new maps to include intense gun on gun action. The mode and 2 of the maps will be available to COD players for free in the coming weeks of May.
So what exactly is in Collection 2? Well the new DLC will include 3 traditional multiplayer maps, 2 maps designed for the Face Off mode, and 2 Spec Ops. The Elite content Maps from April: Sanctuary and Foundation are included in the collection. As well as a new map Oasis which is the name of the hotel resort the map takes place in. Kill Switch and Iron Clad are the spec ops missions the latter letting players hop into a tank, which will be a first for the COD franchise concerning Co-Op.
