News on the upcoming DLC for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has been announced… maybe not officially but we know details now on the new Spec Ops Missions that will be released soon for the game. On August 9th, the ‘Chaos Pack’ will be released for download and will include a bunch of Spec Ops Missions for Modern Warfare 3. Two of which are Light ‘Em Up and Special Delivery as these missions have a very different aspect to them compared to ones before them, that fans may not expect.
‘Light ‘Em Up’ is set after Modern Warfare 3′s campaign as you can play as two SAS operatives who must rescue a squad member by bum rushing an Eastern European stronghold. You will be able pilot a vehicle all by yourself for the first time in the Call of Duty series… so far. In this night mission one of the two players can pilot the helicopter dubbed ‘The Little Bird’ which has a searchlight that can blind enemies to protecting the other player that will be on the ground as he must search for intel to find the location of their team-mate. While piloting the chopper you can also take enemies down from above with a grenade launcher as well as an assault rifle.
The fun just begins as in the mission ‘Special Delivery’ you must rescue a pilot at the base of a Chinese hydroelectric river dam, where you will have special things at your disposal. One player is in the air once again with the Osprey Gunner and can drop .50 cal shells from the air as well as explosive rounds. Different from any Spec Ops Mission before, the guy in the air can also provide support to the man on the ground by dropping three different types of Care Packages down to help your partner out. Both of these missions have aspects that have never been in Spec Ops missions before. In ‘Special Delivery’ you can drop in an XM25, a turret, a self-revive. The content will surely keep Call of Duty fans occupied with more multiplayer maps to come as well until Call of Duty: Black Ops II release on November 13th, for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC.
