New Resident Evil 6 Details and Screenshots

Zombies are back, but the controls are not.

One of the biggest complaints we hear about Resident Evil games is that the controls are dated and need an update. I mean you couldn’t even shoot while moving in previous games, well not anymore.

Today, Capcom has revealed a few small details about the game, including that the controls have been redesigned to allow you to move while shooting now, plus you can roll, dodge, and even take cover behind walls and objects, although I don’t think Zombies are just going to stand around and wait for you to come out from behind a wooden crate, so you aren’t going to get comfortable for long. I can only imagine this is going to please a lot of gamers out there, including us, and it’s a wise choice to update the controls.

Capcom also talked about some of the characters in the game, which include familiar faces Leon S. Kennedy, Chris Redfield, Ingrid Hunnigan, and new faces Secret Service Agent Helena Harper and a mysterious mercanary man, who we have no idea what he’s up to, but it’s probably more about money, than helping you. On top of the new characters, they also revealed a new type of enemy called the J’avo, which are sort of like zombies except they can talk to each other, are capable of working together, and if they are injured and lose a limb, it can regenerate and come back even more deadly than before. Fun.

Check out some fresh new screenshots below.
