PAX Australia To Be Hosted in Melbourne

The long-awaited and highly-requested Australian edition of the extremely-popular Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) will officially take place at the Melbourne Showgrounds from July 19-21, 2013. The show has also been confirmedfor 2014, but no specific dates have been chosen.

Penny Arcade president Robert Khoo added that Australia was the perfect fit for the first international PAX:

“Melbourne has a long history of supporting the games scene, through showcasing cultural game exhibits to supporting world renowned game developers. Holding PAX Australia in Melbourne is the perfect fit for our show.”

The announcement of this new PAX was actually made very slightly at this year’s PAX Prime, marking the first international PAX event. If you’re nowhere near Australia but want to visit such a convention, be sure to look into PAX East and PAX Prime that are happening next year. Be wary though, PAX East is almost entirely sold out.

Anyhow — PAX AUS, as it’s being called, can be found on both Twitter and Facebook if you’re so compelled.
