Ragnarok Odyssey Featured in PS Blog

The upcoming Vita title Ragnarok Odyssey is looking to be a very entertaining title.  As the first proper RPG to grace the Vita, many players are awaiting the game anxiously and are hoping it will serve as a jolt for the system.

Today, the English version of Ragnarok Odyssey was featured in the official PS Blog.  In the Blog, XSEED Production Assistant Brittany Avery teased a few features that the game will include.

She outlines the story briefly, which has something to do with giants that want to destroy a sacred land.   The player assumes the role of a front line mercenary.  When you start the game up, you are offered the choice of your sex, job class, and physical appearance.   Fret not, for you are not restricted to your starting job class.  You can switch from a Sword Warrior to a Mage easily enough, apparently.

There are many lands with different environments to discover in Ragnarok Odyssey, each with their own unique enemies.  The combat is fast-paced and flashy, and features many weapons and a “tension” system.  The more “tension” the player builds, the more powerful (and flashy) the attacks become.

Ragnarok Odyssey is shaping up to be a beautiful RPG installment for a system that could really use a boost in that area.  Stay tuned for more information.
