PopCap, makers of Bejeweled and Plants vs Zombies reports that more than 24 percent of social network users play social networking games like Farmville and Mafia Wars. The survey, conducted by PopCap, reached out to more than 5,000 consumers and found that the average player of these social-networking games is a 43-year old woman. Out of the 5,000-plus people surveyed, PopCap found that 1,200 play a social game at least once per week. Read more
