Awesomenauts PS3 Review

Awesomenauts, a downloadable game for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, is a Tower Defense/beat-em-up hybrid that defied my expectations! I didn’t think I’d like the game, as its opening tutorial annoyed me with its overdone voice acting and cheesy character design. Hoo boy, another indie game that tries too hard, I figured. But after spending ... Read More»

Skelrom v1 Review – JXD S601 Android

I have been a regular visitor of the Dingoo forums for the JXD S601, specifically, since I first learned about this great little import and have watched as people have gone from not knowing much about it to releasing custom ROM replacements such as the Skelrom V1 (which we are reviewing here). The thread is ... Read More»

AggroGamer: “Rebellion Developments just gave us a “reboot” or “remake” of the 2005 shooter of the same name, Sniper Elite: V2 which takes place in the same time frame. Losing Your Stride in rComplex

Losing Your Stride in rComplex

rComplex is a game of running. It’s not about running, it simply is running. Along the way you will jump, and slide, and occasionally shoot, but all these things are extraneous. This is a game of pure drive, where loss of momentum even for an instant is typically met with smothering death, and that means running. It is a mobile game, and for better or worse carries with it the associations and assumptions that dog the genre. For example, you’ll most likely play it on the bus or subway as a diversion. This seems oddly appropriate, since we’re sort of running then too. Also like most other mobile games (or at least, most other good ones), rComplex is simple in control and design. As the runner, we need only tap our way through the courses to vault over a picnic table or slide under a wayward ladder, occasionally looking back to tap a shotgun blast into the encroaching black mass of death behind us. rComplex is a corridor-running, “dodge-the-obstacle” game that we’ve seen on mobile before in the likes of things like The Impossible Game. The hook here is that you are constantly being chased by a giant black tentacled mass ...... Read More»

The tower defence genre is one filled to bursting point.
