Nintendo revealed during E3 that the Wii U would release during “Holiday 2012″. Most people think of late November when they hear this. But Nintendo’s own Scott Moffitt says that Nintendo doesn’t view the holiday season as just around late November.
“Holiday season really begins October, November, December, but of course the bulk of the sales begin Black Friday weekend, right after Thanksgiving,” said Moffitt to the Seattle Times.
He does emphasis the importance of the black friday period but he includes October as a month during the holidays. I don’t know about you but I never do holiday shopping before Hall-O-Ween.
Now to support this idea that the Wii U will release in October is Ubisoft’s software release schedule from a few days ago. This list appeared on their press site and listed Assassin’s Creed 3 on the Wii U as coming out in October. That is the same date as the other versions of the game.Wii U could come out as early as October Continued »
