E3 2012: Watch Dogs Hacking Its Way to Consoles, PC Next Year

Ubisoft shocked and impressed gamers during its E3 press conference when it announced Watch Dogs. The game, which is based on information espionage (also known as hacking to dummies like me), was showcased during the presser, and gamers left the event wanting to know and see more. Like, a lot more, you guys!

Planned platforms and a vague launch window were revealed in a recent tweet from the official Watch Dogs Twitter account. As seen in the image above, the game will land on consoles and PC sometime next year. “Consoles” could mean anything, but we’re expecting it to mean that the game will be hitting Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii U in addition to PC.

Personally, I’m interested in what Ubisoft can do with a Wii U version. The company has been adamant about its support for the console, even showcasing an impressive lineup for it. Imagine all the cool hacking you could do on that Wii U Gamepad’s touchscreen.
