RUMOR: Black Ops 2 For Wii U Revealed By QA Tester’s Resume

Just about everyone expects Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 on the Nintendo Wii U, but most updates from Activision Blizzard about its various releases don’t mention the upcoming console at all. However, some potential proof has outed Black Ops 2 on Nintendo’s next console, thanks to descriptive text from a QA tester’s LinkedIn resume.

IGN spotted the reference late yesterday, as the online resume of “Randall H.“—a video game tester based in Beverly Hills, California—cites Black Ops 2‘s Wii U version as a project he worked on in the last four months:

Public Company; 201-500 employees; ATVI; Computer Games industry

May 2012 – Present (4 months) Santa Monica, CA

QA tester for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. Duties include QA testing on PS3 and Wii U, multiplayer testing while collaborating with team, ad hoc testing, and regression. Bug writing, research, and documentation are performed with each issue that is found.

So far, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 has only been announced for PS3, Xbox 360, and PC, with a release date slated for November 13th.

Various online sources also list that as the same date for the expected Wii U version, but no official press release from the developer/publisher has made things concrete. However, the QA source in question seems to be legit, with an actual history of connections and an active profile connected to several other users in the LinkedIn network.
